I can not remember the name of this book!?
There was this book I read back in 5th grade that I loved and I can't remember for the life of me what it was called.
the main character was a girl named Elizabeth but was called by her nick name of Lizzie. She had an older sister who didn't like her and would call her Lizard. She liked to play piano and she had a very plain and boring home. There was a cemetery near her house that she liked to hang out in and she meets this boy who convinces her that his a prince or something like that, and he takes her to meet this old man who is painting horses used for carousels in the basement. There's a guy named Mark who kidnaps the guy who turns out to be a rich kid, and she saves him in the end.
I seriously need help. I would LOVE to read this book again but I don't remember the name. I appreciate your help! 
The only thing I can think of is The Carousel. But that's about two sisters that get on carousel horses that come to life. Still, it's a great book!

Can you make large amounts of acrylic paint using gesso and some sort of pigment?
Im working on a very large canvas and am trying to figure out if I can buy a large tub of gesso and different pigment colors to make different jars of paint colors. How do I do this? Do I use powdered pigment?
It is also going to depend on what color you want, since it will be hard to make really dark colors (like black or navy...)
I once painted a big board painting, and got a can of latex house wall paint, and paint pigments. I could make tons of paint with it, and it worked awesome!

Make a painted Christmas card

Steps to create a painted Christmas card:
1. First mix enough water with small amount of green acrylic paint to create a thin wash and thoroughly mix it.
2. Dip your brush in the wash and paint the front of the card in straight brush strokes. You have to cover the card with the wash as quickly as possible as so the stokes of your paint brush won't show and the card has a nice even coat of the wash being created. After you finish the wash you need to blot up the excess wash from the front of your card completely. Let your card dry and then place a new piece of paper towel over the card and place a heavy book on top of the card so that it dries flat. This is necessary so that it is flat before you draw on your design.
3. Draw your design on the front of the card lightly with a pencil and then draw a faint line where you could writer your own words.
4. Once you are satisfied with the design, assign colors to each part and trace over these parts with the help of markers of the chosen colors. These colors should correspond with the paint colors that you shall use on the parts of the design later.
5. Trace over the thin lines that you drew for the words with the liquid gold marker. Let it dry and then test it by pressing a paper on the line and lift it carefully to check whether it had dried.
6. With the help of the red calligraphy pen write the words "Merry Christmas" on the gold line you have created. Practice on another sheet of paper if you feel necessary. You can also cover your words with a small piece of paper to blot it while you continue to decorate your card.
7. You can trace the design with glitter paint and then using the fine tip of the bottle or pen trace around the parts of the design in their respective colors such as yellow-gold, silver-silver, red-red, green-green. To spread the paint around the thinner than the lines created by the tips of the bottles or pens you are using just smear it with the help of a toothpick.
8. Next change the color of the calligraphy pen to black and write a message inside the card as well. Practice it on a separate piece of paper and then place a paper towel over the ink to blot so that it does not bleed to other side of the card before it dries. You can also let it dry standing up and open.

Painting Wood with acrylic white paint - brown specs?
I'm painting a bunch of different wooden frames white and the only paint i have is acrylic craft paint, when doing this though some of the frames started having some brown specs showing up over top of what i just paint, almost like i had sprayed some brown paint on it, what should i do, and why did that happen?
It sounds to me like you skipped the most important step--priming the frames.
Anytime you're painting something that already has a paint or other finish on it, or if you're working with raw wood, it MUST begin by applying a primer first. My favorite brand is Kilz. This will allow your paint to adhere properly.
The other issue is that you're using craft paint. This type of paint, when used on a large surface, does not leave a very attractive finish. You would end up with a much more attractive frame if you purchase spray paint, which goes on evenly.
